designer koby barhad has joined a series of synthetic biologists and biohackers for ‘grow your own’, an exhibition hosted at the science gallery in dublin (on now through october 25th, 2013 through january 19th, 2014) . his project ‘all that I am’ utilizes hair samples from elvis presley that were bought on ebay, the installation examines the cultural day-to-day interactions with emerging genetic technologies, and its ramifications on the way society chooses to represent and understand life.
