A blog about whiskey and other matters of interest

Hello

dan bill 1.jpg

I am a former subeditor and current freelance feature writer. I’m also a columnist in the Irish Independent. Feature bylines in the Irish Independent, Irish Tatler Man, Irish Examiner, Evening Echo, the Canadian spirits magazine Distilled, France’s Whisky & Other Fine Spirits magazine, and Food For Thought, the official magazine of the Restaurant Association Of Ireland. I blog a lot about whiskey as nobody is willing to pay me to write about it.

I live in east Cork with my four kids, one long-suffering wife and a hundred bottles of whiskey that I never have time to enjoy.

Work offers and legal threats to william.linnane@gmail.com.

Great writing, Bill. Enjoying my browse through your site – and I don’t even drink!

Thanks Finola – came across your blog when I was nosing about looking for info on Cape Clear Distillery. Really hope it goes ahead, it’d be great for tourism (and the island as a whole), but God knows how they will raise the seven million euro required!

Very enjoyable writing, Bill – thanks for making it available. Off the gargle for November, so this is filling the void. Mike (Your Irish Heritage)
