Bees and bombs blows minds. A doctoral student in Dublin, Dave Whyte has been crafting beautiful looping mathematical worlds through code. We love his work, not just for the silky smooth play but also because Dave continues to be incredibly generous with his process, often tweeting the source code for his various gifs.

Also, in the menu I love that there is a course for ‘cigars’. Fucking real talk. It certainly seems classier than the image projected by the Bebo Stunnaz from Ógra Fianna Fáil Dublin West, who still have these classics up online from the 2007 event. All the stars are there – Bertie, Hanafin, Brian. God, I miss their musk.
The 2014 event is on tonight. I just hope Bertie can make it. The sooner we get back to events like this, and Taca, and the Galway Tent, and Bertie using Séan Quinn’s helicopter to get around in the run-up to an election, and all the greed and rot of the last 30 years of Fianna Fáil rule, the better for us all.
