I took a little money off the table when Beam bought Cooley and I left Cooley four months after the deal, thankfully with no non-compete clause. Myself and my brother Stephen actually own some really old casks of whiskey that we took with us. Then, in 2012 and 2013, a big chunk of inventory became available and we put our money back in and we bought it. We’ve been using that stock in the meantime and doing interesting things with it. Once it’s gone, it’s gone, so we have to be mindful of how we use it. We drip-feed it in when the time is right. It’s liquid history.

Jack Teeling as quoted in the Irish Independent. So that scuppers my ‘all Teeling stock is double distilled Bushmills’ line.
