A stranger on the internet heard my cries for whisky-glazed parkin cake and then went and made me some – and it is glorious.

Lesson learned kids: If a stranger on the internet arranges to give you free cake in an old scout hall, you should totally show up – and don’t tell anyone where you’re going or bring anyone because then you might have to share your cake.
