Foynes and dandy

The Foynes Irish Coffee Festival took place this June bank holiday  in wonderful summer weather with thousands of people  enjoying the FREE family entertainment all around the village. This year is a special year for Irish Coffee as it celebrates itÕs 70th birthday Ð first invented by Chef Joe Sheridan in October 1943. Brian Hughes, United Airlines,   Paul Flynn, GlanbiaThe 2013 Powers Irish Coffee Making Champion, Colm Whelan, House Hotel, Galway, and Michael Behan Powers Whiskey and Chairperson of judging panel at the championship final, Foynes Flying Boat Museum.

I’ve been to Foynes. You’d need a lot of Irish coffee to make it bearable.
